On Generational Differences

I agree that the people with more programming experience will most likely have more experience with Western/popular culture, but I feel that in order to begin to integrate another culture's technology it is a necessity that you at least have contact with that culture. Integration of anything takes time and though initially the more technology savvy someone is, the more they are likely to know about Western culture. Also much of the material already on the web is part of this culture, and the person from the outside learning it will take in much of this information as they learn the web. In time though the web will grow more democratic and open to other cultures.
