“The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy.”

It seems like a lot of us were a little intrigued by Deleuze’s article. When I was going through it, it was forced to dwell on the idea that the Internet, no matter how expansive and liberating it can be, is still a very potential form of control in society, varying degrees of control of course. The Internet is very much a form of real estate, where money can be made, it only depends on who’s willing to utilize it. I’m not sure if Julia meant this when she posted, but Google really is a corporation with a corporate mindset. I’m not trying to say that all of the Internet is just a front for money to be made at the expense of those trafficking websites, blogs, and the like, just that like every other form of media we have in our lives, there’s some way to turn it against itself. There’s a lot to be learned from the Internet, but there is also a lot of hidden dangers that you can inadvertently stumble into if you aren’t used to navigating through the whole mess. Does anyone else see the web as an enclosure? Also, did anyone end up going to www.superbad.com after reading Galloway?
